Job Description:

The Seychelles Maritime Academy is seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist management staff in various administrative duties, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping and maintaining accurate records
  • Recording meeting minutes
  • Data entry and management
  • Receiving and processing applications for short courses conducted by the Safety and Survival Department
  • Maintaining short course certification records
  • Printing and issuing short course certificates
  • Updating the Seychelles Maritime Academy website
Benefits

Salary package will depend on qualification and experience or as stipulated in the relevant scheme of service.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Diploma in Business Studies and Management or Certificate in Business Administration, plus two-year relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reporting to: Director through the Deputy Director
