Job offer: Debt Recovery Officer

Job Summary

Responsible for managing all delinquent accounts for debt collection efforts and negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Send arrears notices promptly and ensure that adequate follow up is maintained throughout.
• Prepare detailed statement of accounts for clients.
• Counsel debtors and advise debtors and advise them to pay before taking legal action. Organise for legal action to be initiated against debtors who are chronic defectors.
• Assess and evaluate grace period requests and make recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain monthly reports.

Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

Skills and Competencies

• Must be punctual, conscientious knowledgeable and possess exceptional communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines Banking, Finance, Accounting or any other related field
• Two years relevant work experience.
