Pool & Patel Chartered Accountants - Mahe, Seychelles

Pool & Patel was established on 1 May 1972 to coincide with the enactment of the Seychelles Companies Act 1972 which required all Companies registered thereunder to file yearly audited financial statements.

The original firm was called Michael Angus Pool & Company and had four partners, one of whom s still a partner today.

In 1982, the firm merged with Suketu Patel & Associates to become BDO Pool Bruce Patel, a full member of Binder Dijke Otte & Co (now BDO International).

In 1997, the firm was approached by KPMG to take over the Seychelles office of KPMG Peat Marwick (Kenya). On 1 June 1997 it became a full member firm of KPMG International with two partners Bernard L Pool FCA and Suketu Patel FCA. On 1 October 2000 an additional partner was admitted, Gemma W Roberts FCCA.

2002, KPMG International revised their tariffs for membership, and subsequently the firm opted to change status to that of a KPMG correspondent firm, which it remained until 2009.

In April 2009 the firm became a full member firm of Moore Stephens International, an international accounting network with 667 offices in 105 countries worldwide.

In January 2020 Partner Bernard L Pool Resigned as Partner and Christina A Georges was appointed as same.
