Job Presentation
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, snapper,)
- Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, Nigiri and sashimi and special fusion rolls.
- Prepare appetizers, soups and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine
- Manage food prep activities, meze plus duties; boiling rice, authentic sushi preparation and fish filleting in the public eye and with an audience.
- Monitor food stock and place and collect orders, as needed
- Recommend new, modern recipes.
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas.
- Abide by Covid-19 Hygiene and sanitation in accordance with Ministry of Health protocol.
- Managing food stock and working with an attention to detail to fulfill all orders within quality standards.
- Coordinate with our waiter staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies.
- Creative flair in traditional Japanese cuisine
Requirements
- Work experience in the position of Sushi Chef for a minimum of 10 years
- Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
- Ability to work both fast and accurately and in a stressful, high paced environment
- To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Japanese cuisine and be available to work during company’s business hours, including weekends and evenings.

- Self-Motivated and able to work alone and within a team
- Be passionate and able to Train and coach other chefs in the art of Sushi Making.
- Work directly under Head Sushi Chef and be able to lead sushi bar in the absence of the Head Sushi Chef.
