Key Responsibilities

Airfreight & Maritime Logistics:

  • Coordinate and manage airfreight shipments for time-sensitive orders, ensuring fast and efficient delivery to Seychelles.
  • Handle maritime freight operations, including container shipments and logistics coordination.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and airlines to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.

Procurement & Supplier Management:

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers from various countries to secure quality products at competitive prices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.

Order Management:

  • React swiftly to urgent procurement requests and ensure timely placement of orders.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from purchase orders to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.

Customs & Clearance:

  • Manage customs clearance processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any delays or issues in customs or freight handling.

Cost Optimization & Reporting:

  • Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and delivery performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement management, with a focus on airfreight and maritime logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and clearance processes.
  • Experience in fast-paced procurement environments requiring quick decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
