Summary of Duties
The Fisheries Expert – Tuna Programme Manager is responsible to lead and manage technical programs to ensure the sustainable management of tuna fisheries. This role involves developing and implementing innovative strategies aligned with national legislations as well as with international conservation and management obligations, such as those outlined by Regional Fisheries Management Organisation such as the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC). Annalyse relevant fisheries data to inform evidence-based policy decisions. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including government agencies, and fishing industry representatives to promote sustainable tuna fishing practices

Job RequirementsEducation (Special Knowledge) Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marine biology, Fisheries Science, Environmental Science, or a related field
OR
- At least 10 year’s professional experience in natural resources management (preferably in the field of fisheries), including expertise in sustainable fisheries management, research, or related areas.
